Russell gave us a great insight into his many trips to the Gambia illustrated with photographs he had taken of the native flora and fauna. He pointed out birds more familiar to us such as the Osprey that spend the winter there, as well as other less recognisable but very beautiful birds like the many species of Kingfisher found there.
